150-200-200-250-250 g color no 4311, gray/purple.

DROPS STRAIGHT NEEDLES size 5 mm / US 8 - or size needed to get 17 sts x 32 rows in garter st = 10 x 10 cm / 4'' x 4'".

DROPS CROCHET HOOK size 3.5 mm/E/4 - for tie

GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows.

DECREASE TIP: (applies to armholes and neckline):
All dec are done from RS, dec on the inside of 3 sts in garter st at the armhole and at the neck.
Dec AFTER 3 sts as follows: Slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso. Dec BEFORE 3 sts as follows: K 2 tog.

BACK PIECE:
Worked back and forth on needle.
Cast on 50-54-58-60-62 sts on needle size 5 mm / US 8 with Nepal. Work in GARTER ST over all sts - see explanation above! REMEMBER THE GAUGE!
When piece measures 5-5-6-6-7 cm / 2"-2"-2 3/8"-2 3/8"-2 3/4", inc 1 st in each side, repeat inc when piece measures 10-11-12-13-14 cm / 4"-4 3/8"-4 3/4"-5 1/8"-5½" = 54-58-62-64-66 sts.
When piece measures 16-18-20-21-22 cm / 6 1/4"-7"-8"-8 1/4"-8 3/4", bind off the outermost 3 sts in each side for armholes (bind off at beg of the next 2 rows). On next row from RS, dec 1 st in each side - SEE DECREASE TIP! Repeat dec every other row a total of 3-4-4-4-4 times = 42-44-48-50-52 sts.
When piece measures 27-30-33-35-37 cm / 10 5/8"-11 3/4"-13"-13 3/4"-14½", bind off the middle 14-14-14-16-16 sts for neck and finish each shoulder (= 14-15-17-17-18 sts) separately. Bind off when piece measures 28-31-34-36-38 cm / 11"-12 1/4"-13 3/8"-14 1/4"-15" (or slip on a stitch holder to work the shoulders tog with grafting/kitchener st).

LEFT FRONT PIECE:
Worked back and forth on needle.
Cast on 25-27-29-30-31 sts on needle size 5 mm / US 8 with Nepal. Work in garter st over all sts. When piece measures 5-5-6-6-7 cm / 2"-2"-2 3/8"-2 3/8"-2 3/4", inc 1 st in the side, repeat inc when piece measures 10-11-12-13-14 cm / 4"-4 3/8"-4 3/4"-5 1/8"-5½" = 27-29-31-32-33 sts.
READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SECTION BEFORE CONTINUING!
When piece measures 16-18-20-21-22 cm / 6 1/4"-7"-8"-8 1/4"-8 3/4", bind off 3 sts at beg of next row from the side. Then dec 1 st for armhole at beg of next row from RS – READ DECREASE TIP! Repeat dec every other row a total of 3-4-4-4-4 times.
AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures approx. 18-20-22-23-24 cm / 7"-8"-8 3/4"-9"-9½", dec (on next row from RS) 1 st towards the neck - SEE DECREASE TIP! Repeat dec every other row a total of 3-3-3-4-4 times and then every 4th row a total of 4 times in all sizes. After dec for neck and armhole,
14-15-17-17-18 sts remain on needle for shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 28-31-34-36-38 cm / 11"-12 1/4"-13 3/8"-14 1/4"-15" (or slip sts on a stitch holder).

RIGHT FRONT PIECE:
Work as left front piece but reversed.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew or use grafting/kitchener stitches to work the shoulders tog. Sew side seams tog edge to edge in front loop of outermost sts.

TIES:
Crochet 1 tie with Nepal on hook size 3.5 mm/ E/4 on each side of neck.
Start with 1 sc (UK dc) in outermost st where dec for neck beg. Chain for approx. 18-18-20-20-22 cm / 7"-7"-8"-8"-8 3/4". Now work a cone at the end of the ch-row as follows: Form a ring with 1 sl st in 4th ch from hook, this is the top of the cone.
ROUND 1: Work 4 sc in ch-ring.
ROUND 2: 2 sc in every sc = 8 sc.
ROUND 3: * 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the rest of the round = 12 sc.
ROUND 4-5: 1 sc in every sc = 12 sc.
ROUND 6: * 1 sc in first sc, then crochet 2 sc tog *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 8 sc.
ROUND 7: 1 sc in every sc = 8 sc.
ROUND 8: Work all sc tog 2 by 2 = 4 sc.
Cut the yarn, baste it up and down through sts, pull the thread to tighten and fasten tightly.
