Materials: DROPS ESKIMO from Garnstudio
200-200-250-250-250-300 g colour no 24, yellow
A remnant colour no 01, off-white
A remnant colour no 35, lime

DROPS POINTED NEEDLES size 6 mm – or size needed to get 13 sts x 17 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
DROPS CROCHET HOOK size 5 mm – for flower.

GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows.
INCREASING TIP: Inc from RS by making 1 YO. Work YO into back of loop on return row to avoid a hole.

SLIPPER:
Worked back and forth on needle from the toe towards the heel, and sewn tog mid upper foot afterwards. Cast on 10-11-13-14-15-17 sts on needle size 6 mm with yellow Eskimo (leave approx 50 cm thread and use this for sewing tog the slipper afterwards). Insert 1 marker in st no 4-4-4-5-5-5 and 1 marker in st no 7-8-10-10-11-13. Work stocking st, AT THE SAME TIME inc 1 st on each side of both markers – SEE INCREASING TIP – and repeat the inc on every other row a total of 6 times = 34-35-37-38-39-41 sts.
REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
Continue until piece measures 13-13-14-16-18-20 cm. Work next row as follows: 8-8-8-10-10-10 garter sts, 18-19-21-18-19-21 stocking sts, 8-8-8-10-10-10 garter sts, and continue like this until piece measures 31-33-36-40-44-49 cm. Cast off.

ASSEMBLY:
Tighten toe tog and sew slipper tog mid upper foot up to the garter sts. Fold slipper double and sew tog mid back, edge to edge to avoid a chunky seam.

FELTING: Wash at 40 degrees with a detergent free of enzymes and optical bleach, with normal spin, but no pre-wash.
After wash shape the slipper while still wet, and leave to dry. At subsequent washes wash at a wool programme.

CROCHET FLOWER:
Crochet with crochet hook size 8 mm and Eskimo as follows:
LEAF (use colour no 35, lime): Work 4 ch and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
* 1 dc in ring, 4 ch, 1 dtr in the first of the 4 ch *, repeat from *-* 5 times and finish with 1 sl st in dc from beg of round = 5 leaves. Cut and fasten thread.
FLOWER (use colour no 01, off-white): Work 4 ch. Work 2 tr in the first ch and then 1 sl st in the same ch.
Cut the thread and attach flower to the middle of leaf and sew to slipper mid upper foot after felting.
